Health Economics: Stefan Felder
The professorship Health Economics was endowed in 2010 by Interpharma, the association of Switzerland's research-based pharmaceutical industry.
The professorship’s focus is on the regulation of health care and health insurance markets. Current research topics are value-based health care in inpatient care, shortages in drug markets, eliciting people’s preferences regarding Covid-19 regulation and the effect of ambiguity aversion on treatment and test decisions of physicians.
Courses at the Bachelor and Master level include Health Economics, Health Insurance, Reimbursement of Health-care Providers, Evaluation of Health Services, and Medical Decision Making.

Stefan Felder has been Full Professor of Health Economics. His research interests are in the regulation of health-care and health-insurance market. As a former affiliate of a Faculty of Medicine, Medical Decision Making has become one of his favorite field.
