Stefan Felder

Stefan Felder has been Full Professor of Health Economics. His research interests are in the regulation of health-care and health-insurance market. As a former affiliate of a Faculty of Medicine, Medical Decision Making has become one of his favorite field.

Günther Fink

Günther Fink is Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Household Economics at the University of Basel as well as head of the Household Economics and Health Systems Research Unit at the Swiss TPH. His main interests lie in the interactions between health and economic well-being, with a particular focus on child health and development.

Matthias Schwenkglenks

Matthias Schwenkglenks heads the Health Economics Facility at the Department of Public Health at the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel and is head of research at the Institute for Pharmaceutical Medicine (ECPM). He also holds an adjunct professorship at the Medical Faculty of the University of Zurich. His research focuses on health economic evaluation (cost-effectiveness, cost-utility studies) and health services research with large, administrative data sets. A planned focus of future research is the influence of the design of insurance and reimbursement systems on the use and quality of health services.

Stefan Meyer

Stefan Meyer is Managing Director at BCHE. After completing his doctorate in empirical health economics (University of Basel), he initially worked for a private consultancy firm, before becoming a project manager responsible for the revision of the TARMED medical tariff. Prior to joining the BCHE, he worked as a data analyst at Sympany. As a member of parliament of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft, he is a member of the cantonal health committee.

Yannic Heinlin

Yannic Heinlin has been a Student Assistant at the Chair of Health Economics since March 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Stefan Felder.
